Redeeming Grace

Hey peeps,

I am mostly just going to post about the messages I have heard from church or other interesting articles I have found. They may not be very interesting and you may not understand everything I am typing but if you have any qns, you can just ask:). I am a christian by God's mercy and grace As I post up the messages/articles, I hope that you will find them inspiring and may the Word of God touch your heart:).

For starters, I would just like to share my christian testimony:). I am born in a christian family  and have gone to church since I was a baby. I got saved when I was 6. All this time, i have been hearing of God and His unconditional love for us. At first, I was skeptical about the gospel. But, I saw the Lord in my parent's lives. They are good role models and they really love the Lord. I could see it in their willing service for Him and their faithfulness to Him. Without fail, in the morning, they would read the Bible and pray. We had daily devotions at night and my Dad preached from God's Word. He is a pastor in the church I go to and he teaches very fervently( I am not biased btw ). So, I saw the Lord in them and my mindset gradually changed. I knew there was a God up there and He is real.

Through sunday school lessons and my parents, I learnt I was a sinner and God sent His only son into the world to die for our sins. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus died on the cross for each and everyone of us and His blood washed our hearts clean from sin and He rose on the third day. We can now come to the father when we are saved as we have the righteousness of Christ in us. I questioned my Dad in the car one night about being saved.  I prayed the sinner's prayer or prayer of Salvation, however you want to call it and I got saved by God's grace:). I was redeemed by the blood of Jesus and I was forgiven of all my sins. Here's an awesome hymn which is one of my favourites.

I got baptised on 9th April 2004 and so far, it has not been easy trusting God all the time and I am going through my trials but God is there to take my hand. I am currently just a student with her own big dreams and may be ignorant of so many things so be patient with me.
